I bought a gray pencil skirt from H&M the other night, what kind of shirt and shoes would go with it?

I don%26#039;t want to look like an airline hostess or overdressed. I just want a very modern classy outfit that I can wear to school.

good choice on a nice neutral color, sometimes when I wear gray I like to wear a bright color top to make it pop, but really you have a broad spectrum of color to choose from, purple is always a winner! make sure the top is fitted and of course tuck it in to get the full effect of the skirt%26#039;s shape.





if you keep the top neutral as well, add in a bright bangle bracelet or bright bag to your outfit so it stays fun and doesn%26#039;t become secretarial/too old for your taste, and looks fresh, such as this:

Avoid shoes with a strap across the front as with skirts they tend to make your legs look shorter. Closed toe or peep toe pumps with a 2-3 inch heel will suit best, something like this:
